Welcome

African Citizens Development Foundation (ACDF) www.acdf.org.ng is a Non- Governmental Organisation registered in London and Wales, Nigeria and Republic of Benin.  ACDF operates Social Enterprise for sustainable human development for the betterment of the African Society.  It is the owner of the "Tuition Free" Citizens Colleges in Nigeria and Republic of Benin with an Outreach in Lome, the Republic of Togo www.citizenscollege.net .  The tuition fee we offered annually for average of 400 students across all our schools is Naira 54.0Million about US$368.000 We do this as our stake in the development of these youths we are preparing as future African Leaders and ACDF future Development Partners, the children are all registered as ACDF student members at the point of admission and inducted as Life - Members at graduation.  We have inducted 458 Members in the last 8 graduations as at September 2009.  We need your kind donations to help sustain the tuition free project!

ACDF also established Society for Shelter Education, Food and Agricultural Development in Africa (ASSEFAD) www.assefad.org to help the excluded poor peasant and subsistence farmers in Africa who provide more than 90% of locally produced food for the masses of the people in Africa.  ASSEFAD has the ACDF mandate to organise these farmers, cluster them in groups and in locations, offer them training and reorientation programmes that will change their old attitude towards using loanable funds positively and become self reliant.  We have now well over 100,000 of such farmers lined up for our helps and we have successfully set up three Cluster farming locations where more than 500 of our farmers now clustered to do their businesses, those locations are called ASSEFAD Millennium Villages. This project is intended to join the global forces on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) to halving poverty by the year 2015 and to challenge the recently growing global food crisis which has become an affront to the Millennium Development Goals especially as it affects the Africa continent.

African Citizens Development Foundation was granted the Associate Status with the Department of the Public Information (DPI) of the United Nations in 2007 for our outstanding advocacy works and Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations in 2009 for our social entrpreneural efforts.
